My name is Katie and I’m a 21 year old Dutch girl. I travel around the world as a nanny and I’ve lived in many different countries. I started when I was 17 and for the past years I’ve worked in Spain, France, Bonaire, Thailand and Australia. I fell in love with Australia the moment I got there and felt home straight away. My passport may say I’m Dutch but in my heart I’m a true Aussie. I’ve always had a dream to marry a real “cowboy” (ringer) and have lots of land to have plenty of horses. After my break-up with my then-boyfriend I signed up for several dating sites but couldn’t find what I was looking for. I knew he would be out there, so I made my own facebook page called “Kate wants a date” hoping to find the man of my dreams. These days most people are on facebook so I thought this would be the perfect idea since Australia is such a big country. Within a few hours my page went viral as I received 1.3 million messages from Aussie blokes all over Australia. People thought it was hilarious, I did too. Unfortunately I still haven’t found my cowboy yet but I’ll keep traveling until I find the right person.
